Mukhallat

Mukhallat attar, often simply referred to as “mukhallat,” is a term deeply rooted in the rich traditions of Middle Eastern perfumery. The art of making mukhallat attar involves the careful layering of scents, where each component is chosen not only for its individual fragrance but also for how it will interact with the others. This process can include a wide range of aromatic ingredients, from precious woods like agarwood (oud) and sandalwood to flowers such as roses and jasmine, as well as spices, musk, and amber.
